Teaching Philosophy
I have been a student and a teacher in two different societies (the U.S. and China) for many years. My cross-cultural experiences help me form a teaching model which I believe has integrated the core values shared by both the western and the eastern educational systems. In this model, I hold high expectations for every student, create multiple forms of learning opportunities, and am always prepared to (and willing to) adjust instruction to meet students’ diverse and changing needs for learning. As an educational researcher, I also study on my own teaching to inform my professional practice and development.
